Fashion to Philanthropy

Vancouver Kids Fashion Week did it again!

The second season of Vancouver Kids Fashion Week (VKFW) kicked off on March 25 with gorgeous designs and absolutely adorable moments. The two-day show is dedicated to children’s fashion and creativity featuring kid and adult childrenswear designers. Dance performances by Imperial Ballroom and incredible emcees from Feng Feng Academy brought an upbeat and lively energy to the event.
As Vancouver Fashion Week enters its 18th year and 29th season, it has become the fastest growing fashion week, pursuing the natural expansion of Vancouver Kids Fashion Week in September 2016. The ever-growing talent in youth was the inspiration behind the launch of this new platform, aiming to highlight and leverage kid designers on an international scale. The March show featured designers such as Like A Scribble, Little and Lively, Rarity Kids, Angelle Chang, Chloe Sinow, I Haven’t The Foggiest, Blara Organic, Little Mermaid and Celestine & Jacobin.

In addition, VKFW has partnered with BC Children’s Hospital Foundation (BCCHF) in an effort to recognize children in need. A few highlights of the event include a recovered patient of the BC Children’s Hospital strutting the catwalk as a model, as well as live dance performances. Moreover, various workshops have been planned to introduce children to the fashion industry and help children foster their creativity.
