Cabot, Vt.-based Zutano, maker of infant and toddler apparel and toys, is partnering with melamine and plastic products manufacturer TarHong on a new line of products for the home. Zutano co-founder and designer Uli Belenky is developing a unique line of tableware that embodies Zutano’s vivid designs and noted the transition of Zutano style to housewares is a natural step. “Zutano’s brilliant colors and patterns can translate to so many home products. Vibrant color and inspired designs are ideal for tableware and will no doubt add soul and positive energy to a family meal. I’m contemplating many new colors and sophisticated patterns whose energy will be captured in a new format.”

TarHong’s Zutano Tabletop collection will be 100-percent pure melamine and coated with a protective, glossy food-safe coating. BPA-free and food- and dishwasher-safe, the plates will have the look and feel of ceramics without the weight and breakability, and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. “We are glad to have found a great partner in TarHong that respects the brand and our mission as a socially responsible company,” Zutano president and co-founder Michael Belenky said. “We feel that they have the level of superiority that will allow the Zutano signature style to be perfectly captured in a new realm of products.” Visit www.zutano.com.
