Consumer-driven apparel company Bentex Group Inc. has teamed up with Zinkia Entertainment on its award-winning children’s series Pocoyo. Under the terms of this multi-year agreement, Bentex will create a line of branded apparel for the U.S. market, including T-shirts, sportswear, sleepwear, swimwear and outerwear for boys and girls, to launch in spring 2013. With 680,000 Facebook fans and close to one billion views on Youtube, the preschool television show is a proven multi-platform global hit property, and Zinkia’s Managing Director of Brand and Business Development Maria Doolan says that a move into the apparel market will serve to compliment existing and upcoming merchandise from the likes of Random House Children’s Books, Bandai America, NCircle Entertainment and TCG.
