WubbaNub Releases Digital Shorts

The brand’s beloved characters boast lovable personalities in a new video campaign.

Carla Schneider, founder and CEO of the plush pacifier brand WubbaNub, is keeping up with today’s marketing trends by bringing her brand to life. The mompreneuer has teamed up with award-winning creative director and Nickelodeon producer Scott Webb to launch an animated series of digital shorts that are based off five signature WubbaNub characters—Puppy, Frog, Monkey, Duck and Lamb. Over the next few weeks, the brand’s digital shorts will appear on its YouTube channel, website and social media accounts, as well as some exposure through key mommy bloggers.

Carla Schneider, founder of WubbaNub, launches the brand’s first video campaign.

“The goal of each video is to give the viewer a quick introduction to the WubbaNub family through the characters’ quirky and fun personalities,” Schneider says, explaining how she worked with Webb to develop shorts that reflect a baby’s point of view—close-up, textured and fun. “The shorts were simply our next phase of growth for the brand as moms, dads and retailers kept asking for more.”

According to marketing experts, Schneider’s decision to grow the brand through video is right on target with what’s happening in the digital landscape. While preferences have shifted over the last decade from desktop to mobile platforms and long-form to short-form content, research specifically cites video marketing as the way of the future. In fact, one study projects video to claim more than 80 percent of all web traffic by 2019. Not to mention 87 percent of online marketers are already using online video content in their digital marketing strategies.

“These appetizer portions of seeing the characters reveal their true colors is the foundation for new product categories and longer animated content,” Schneider says. “So yes, there’s more to come.”

Already the company has expanded its offerings to include new soothing blankets, launched at Target this month with other retail partners slated for the beginning of 2018. Play mats will also be coming out soon, first at Target and then expanding to more retail locations.
