The Disney Store chain will unveil its new two-level flagship store in Manhattan’s Times Square on Tues., Nov. 9—its largest ever with more 20,000 square feet. The new location features Disney’s updated store design and will be stocked with licensed apparel, stuffed animals, costumes, gifts and more.
Disney Store North America’s vice president Molly Adams said this kicks off an aggressive expansion plan, and the company expects to open 30 additional locations in 2011 that feature the new retail features. “It’s all about creating entertainment experiences outside the theme parks,” Adams told WWD. The flagship features interactive experiences, movie-themed “neighborhoods,” theatre spaces and technology to provide a thrilling retail experience.
