United Legwear Donates 100,000 Pairs of Socks to K.I.D.S. in Distressed Situations

At the close of a festive Earnie Awards–the childrenswear industry’s annual recognition ceremony for excellence–Isaac E. Ash, President and CEO of United Legwear Co, announced that he will donate 100,000 pairs of children’s socks to Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.), to be distributed over the next 18 months.

“After hearing Janice Weinman’s remarks, I made a very spontaneous decision to help,” said Ash. “Every year, K.I.D.S. accomplishes tremendous work in collecting and distributing new products to children in need, but there’s always more to be done,” he added. “As manufacturers, all of us here tonight are in a position to make a difference, he added. “Charity and giving back are essential to United Legwear’s business philosophy, so I’m grateful that K.I.D.S. can channel the industry’s resources to our littlest friends.”
