With April known as Autism Awareness Month, Toys “R” Us Inc. of Wayne, N.J is holding an in-store fundraising campaign between March 1 and May 1 to support Autism Speaks, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding research on autism and related disorders.
Donations will be collected in more than 800 “R” Us stores across the country and online at Toysrus.com/autismspeaks. Toys “R” Us has been partnering with Autism Speaks for three years, and this effort marks the first time its 260 Babies “R” Us stores will also be involved.
In addition, Toys “R” Us has teamed with Autism Speaks and the National Lekotek Center, an organization dedicated to children with disabilities, to pinpoint “Ten Toys That Speak To Autism.” Information is available in stores. Visit www.toysrus.com.
