The film franchise’s movie company, Lionsgate, has partnered with the popular retailer to offer fans exclusive merchandise inspired by the books and the box office hit. Products that fans can find at Target include 100 14-carat gold replicas of the mockingjay pin that the series’ heroine Katniss Everdeen sports, which costs $999 each. Customers can also buy a replica of her leather jacket at $349. Lithographs signed by cast members such as Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth will also be available for $699. Other Target offerings include backpacks, jewelry, life-sized character cutouts, pillow cases, backpacks and a deluxe edition of The Hunger Games on Blu-ray and DVD. “The Hunger Games’ franchise has truly captivated the nation,” says John Butcher, VP of entertainment at Target. “We’re proud to be a part of this pop culture phenomenon and want to deepen Target guests’ engagement with the series through exciting product offerings and bonus video content.”
