Abercrombie & Fitch Co., American Eagle Outfitters and Aeropostale plan to stop reporting monthly sales. The teen-focused retailers join a slew of other retail chains that have implemented similar practices including Pacific Sunwear of California, Ann Taylor and Wal-Mart. On the day of the announcement, the companies’ stocks declined: Abercrombie dropped 3.2 percent, Aeropostale down 2 percent and American Eagle Outfitters fell 21 percent.
