Liberty of London—a brand from London’s Liberty department store known for its iconic prints—has signed a deal to create a range of fashion apparel, accessories and home wares for Minneapolis-based Target Corp. Children’s products will accompany the adult garments hitting U.S. stores and the retail chain’s website on March 14, 2010.
Liberty CEO Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye said it is an honor for the brand to join the likes of Anya Hindmarch, Alexander McQueen and other big-name brands that have hit the mass retailer’s shelves and started a trend for designer collaborations. “It’s a real accolade for us to team with a store that is known as an incubator of fresh talent and design,” he noted.
