The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in conjunction with Stride Rite Children’s Group LLC of Lexington, MA, has issued a voluntary recall of about 7,500 girls’ sandals. The metal flower on the Joanna can detach, posing a choking hazard. The firm has received six reports of the flowers detaching and 11 reports of flowers loosening. No injuries have been reported. The sandal was sold at Stride Rite stores and various retailers nationwide and online from December 2011 through May 2013 for between $30 and $42.
