Schleich Shifts Canadian Business In-House

Schleich USA, a leading manufacturer of animal figurines, has announced that beginning January 1, 2021, it will be servicing Canadian customers directly from its North American warehouse in Charlotte, NC.  Since 2018, Schleich has partnered with Everest for Canadian distribution.

“Schleich is a strong brand in the Canadian market and we’re thrilled to be able to service all of our customers directly again,” says Annie Laurie Zomermaand, CCO of Schleich USA. “Everest has been a wonderful partner, but as we continue to grow, this is a natural next step toward global alignment.”

The partnership with Everest will continue through December 31, 2020. Everest is the sole distributor for Schleich’s 2020 product assortment and will still be the go-to source for holiday gifts.

“Schleich will follow its successful strategic approach for Canada with increased marketing and direct support that is driving double digit increases within the US for 2020,” says David Albert, COO of Schleich USA.  “We have ambitious growth targets for both markets, and we want to serve our US and Canadian customers in the best possible way.”

Going forward, Carly Little, national account manager at Schleich, will manage the toy company’s Canadian business. All marketing efforts will be run through the US office, as well.
