Last week, members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) kicked off a new partnership to support the Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) charity. RWDSU members gift-wrapped donated toys that were given to mothers from Su Casa’s Pregnant Women and Infants Program, which helps opiate-addicted pregnant women in New York.
RWDSU pledged to volunteer at least 1,000 hours in 2010 to support agencies that partner with K.I.D.S. by distributing new product donations and giving their time to social service agencies nationwide. Visit www.kidsdonations.org.
