Playtime New York, an international trade show showcasing products for children, juniors and moms-to-be, has set dates for its second show: March 5-7, 2011. The market will be held at 82 Mercer in SoHo.
The first edition of this biannual trade show occurred July 31 to Aug. 2, where retail buyers from stores such as Anthropologie, Barney’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Chasing Fireflies, The Land of Nod, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Scoop and Yoyamart checked out wares from 63 exhibitors in a sophisticated yet whimsical setting. “We were thrilled with the launch and are truly looking forward to further developing the show,” said Sébastien de Hutten, event director. “We expect the March event to be bigger and better.”
The show features a broad selection of collections in the children’s and maternity marketplace from around the globe. The show encompasses infant and children’s clothing, shoes and accessories, baby gear, toys, décor items, childcare and maternity. Show management has worked to provide an easy-to-navigate layout and an open booth design, which affords exhibitors the opportunity to customize their area.
Playtime will also host overseas editions in Paris (Jan. 29-31) and Tokyo (Feb. 22-24). For more information, visit www.playtimenewyork.com.
