Pediped announced it more than doubled its pledge to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for 2008. On March 2, the Henderson, Nev.-based children’s footwear company made out a check for $111,621 to David Williams, president and CEO of the wish-granting organization. Pediped initially agreed to raise $50,000 when it first partnered with the foundation a year ago, but the success of its pledge drive led it to raise the bar.
According to Pediped, the money will be used to fill more than 15 wishes to children who have life-threatening medical conditions. The footwear company plans to continue raising money for the organization throughout 2009. It plans to hold several fundraisers through the year. Visit www.pediped.com.
