Outstanding Mother Awards Announces 2020 Honorees

NBC’s Today Co-Anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb are two of the powerful women to be recognized.

Working power moms are the ultimate multi-hyphenates: giving equal weight to the C-suite, the carpool and community events. To give credit where it’s due, The National Mother’s Day Committee will honor women in film, retail, journalism, wellness and finance at the 42nd Annual Outstanding Mother Awards luncheon, held May 7, 2020, at The Pierre Hotel in New York. This year, six women will be honored, recognizing the central roles they take on as parents, caregivers, mentors and leaders, as well as their positive impact on their communities.

“Hoda and Savannah capture the hearts and minds of viewers around the world every morning,” says Laurie Dowley, chairman of the National Mother’s Day Committee. “We are thrilled to be honoring the first female co-anchors in TODAY’s history and we congratulate them on their many journalistic achievements as well as the positive impact they have had as authors, mentors, supporters of numerous philanthropic initiatives and, of course, mothers.”
