Which retailers are the crème de la crème in terms of customer service? The NRF Foundation, the research and education arm of the National Retail Federation (NRF), partnered with American Express on a consumer survey conducted by BIGresearch, designed to determine the top 10 (in alphabetical order): Amazon.com, Coldwater Creek, HSN, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Lands’ End, LL Bean, Nordstrom, Overstock.com, QVC and Zappos. (Two companies have tied, making for a total of 11).
The official rankings within the top 10, plus other retailers that were highlighted by survey respondents, will be announced at NRF’s 99th Annual Convention and Expo on Jan. 12, 2010, during the yearly industry luncheon.
The survey, which was conducted Sept. 1–9, 2009, is designed to gauge consumer attitudes toward retailers’ customer service, to promote best practices in customer service and to recognize retailers providing excellent customer service. For more information, visit www.nrf.org.
