Welcome Jose L. Castro!
Nickelodeon welcomes Jose L. Castro as the senior vice president of softlines. In this new role, Castro will manage existing partnerships and develop new business opportunities for the network’s robust portfolio, including apparel, accessories and home goods. Based in New York, Castro will serve as the liaison for all global fashion collaborations which pair Nickelodeon with trendsetting designers and brands. He will also oversee specialty and department store retail accounts to broaden Nickelodeon’s in-store footprint and ensure execution of the brand’s exclusive campaigns.
A 14-year Viacom veteran, Castro most recently served as senior vice president of retail development, overseeing all specialty, e-commerce and emerging accounts including Toys “R” Us and Amazon. He worked closely with more than 30 accounts’ key merchant and marketing groups to ensure consistent and incremental placement of Nickelodeon’s licensed products throughout every relevant category. In recent years, he has helmed world class programs like “Paw Patrol’s Adventure Beach” at Toys “R” Us, a JoJo Siwa apparel and accessories line at Claire’s, a Nickelodeon ’90s fashion program at Macy’s.
