MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has tapped former Disney Consumer Products (DCP) exec Michael Connolly as its senior vice president of consumer products. Connolly takes over from Jean Philippe Randisi, former senior vice president and managing director of NCP International, who left the company some weeks ago.
Based in New York, Connolly will be responsible for MTVN’s international consumer products operations and related global strategies outside the U.S. He will oversee consumer products efforts across all international markets, retail partnerships and key category relationships including toys, home entertainment, consumer electronics, video games and publishing for NCP’s portfolio of genres and evergreen properties, such as Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. Additionally, he will direct business operations and the management of consumer products offices major markets worldwide.
Connolly previously served as vice president of marketing and seasonal merchandise, North America, for DCP and was responsible for driving Disney’s retail marketing operations and overseeing licensing, seasonal merchandise planning and retail solutions in the North American region.
