The global design company, known for handmade wares, is offering more kids’ apparel for Spring ’20.
Melange Collection, a Colorado-based global design company known for handmade wares, is expanding its kids’ hand-knit apparel assortment for Spring ’20. The new designs, created through the company’s partnership with artisan knitters in Armenia, will be available for order at NY Now next month (booth#1821 in the Global Handmade section).
The new spring assortment includes three dresses, a bolero/shrug, a unisex cardigan and three hats—all made from easy-care 100 percent mercerized cotton. Each heirloom-worthy look exemplifies the craftsmanship of Armenian knitters with ornate patterns and finishing details. What’s more, the company has worked with the same artisan groups for over a decade, developing committed partnerships that promote and preserve sustainable income, environmental awareness and economic equality.
The “Bunny Love Dress” (wholesale $30) and “Little Sheep Dress” (wholesale $30) are both entirely knit by hand, each with embellished critters set against a pastel background. The “Bunny Bouquet Dress” (wholesale $30) features a hand-knitted bodice strewn with flowers atop a woven skirt with a mellow print of bunnies and flowers. A matching hand-knitted hat (wholesale $8) and the “Puff Sleeve Shrug” (wholesale $16) coordinate with each dress, in addition to the “Bunny Love Cardigan” (wholesale $32), which matches back to the dresses for an adorable unisex option.
