The retail giant makes space on the sales floor for a dedicated Disney Princess statement.
There’s no doubt about it—little girls love Disney princesses. The Disney Princess franchise is a key player in the Disney Consumer Product lineup and this week Macy’s joins the droves of fans to show Cinderella and company some love by dedicating sections of the sales floor in locations nationwide to the roster of royals.
Each statement space will house 4 to 8 racks of clothing, as well as possess unique signage and branding. The offering will be from DCP licensees including Evy and Bentext/HIS, featuring an assortment of dresses, tees, leggings, tutus and more in sizes 2T-6X. Merchandise will be specifically catered to this program and the collections will be themed with key colors, sparkles and tulle to each princess.
Each month will kick off new princess products. Cinderella will be the first introduced in March to coincide with the Cinderella live action movie release. Look for Ariel to break onto the scene in April-June, Rapunzel to drop down in July-August, Jasmine to step off the carpet in September-October and the Frozen princesses to skate in during November-December.
“Disney Consumer Products’ unique collaboration with Macy’s celebrates the individual Disney Princess characters, whose bravery, courage and kindness have inspired fans of all ages for generations,” said Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing, Disney Consumer Products. “We’re thrilled to bring these beloved characters and their stories to life through a nationwide, multi-season apparel statement at Macy’s.”
