Macy’s Inc. reports that strategies implemented during the last two years–namely its My Macy’s localization effort–have resulted in positive results, allowing the company to forge ahead with even more initiatives. At the company’s annual meeting, Macy’s chairman, president and CEO Terry Lundgren outlined plans for the future, which according to WWD will include a remodeling of the retailer’s Herald Square flagship, the addition of gift shops on the main level of its stores nationwide and expansion of the solidly performing Bloomingdale’s.

Bloomingdale’s has plans to unveil a new, smaller format store in Santa Monica, Calif., as well as an outlet concept, both set to be unveiled this fall. In addition, the company has already launched Bloomingdale’s on the global level; its first international location opened in Dubai in February.
