CPLG, the licensing arm of Cookie Jar Entertainment, has hired industry veteran Jeff Shapiro as its new vice president of retail business development. He will promote a wide range of brands at all levels of retail, focusing on retail expansion for popular Cookie Jar brands such as Richard Scarry’s Busytown, Johnny Test and Caillou, plus the Harlem Globetrotters, Strawberry Shortcake, Lucha Libre USA and Varsity. Shapiro previously held the position of vice president of retail marketing for Twentieth Century Fox.
