The slate of seminars being offered at Licensing International Expo 2010, being held this Tuesday through Thursday at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, has been designed to help companies grow their licensing business. “In what continues to be a challenging economy, a strategic licensing program can be the difference needed to help a brand succeed,” said Charles Riotto, president of the International Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA). “This year’s Licensing University sessions offers expert guidance—from first-time and returning moderators and panelists—on how to launch and build successful programs across a range of categories.”
This year’s sessions include big picture discussions (such as “Getting Your Brand Ready for Licensing” and “Putting It Together: A Strategic Checklist for Licensees”) as well as of-the-moment issues, for example royalty rate trends, combining licensing with cause marketing, and how companies can use demographic information and social media to their best advantage.
