Baby product and accessories manufacturer Kushies announced plans to branch off its layette and apparel business so the Stoney Creek, Ontario-based company can expand its offerings. “Layette and apparel have grown to become an increasingly important part of our business,” said Sam Perez, president and CEO. “We’re committed to providing retailers with the very best layette and apparel products in the category and we’ve hired a great team to support retailer’s marketplace needs.”
That team includes Christine McCarthy of CMSM, LLC, who Kushies has hired as its new U.S. sales manager, as well as Louise Connor (nykidsrep@aol.com) for the New York area, Dick Euting Associates (deainc@aol.com) in the Southwest, Dan and Judy Greenberg (greenbergco@comcast.net) in New England, Paula and Ken Gorelik (kpgore@msn.com) for the Midwest, R&L Associates (rudyfleischmann@aol.com) in the Mid-Atlantic region, Fran Phillips Scott (loosethreadzz@aol.com) for the Southeast, and Don Welborn and Associates (sales@donwelborn.com) on the West Coast.
In conjunction with the new division, all layette and apparel collections will be sold under three labels: Kushies, Blue Banana and It’s My Planet 2. All items in Kushies’ layette collections will be certified organic. Visit www.kushies.com.
