The Kapuli collection for babies and children, which is produced in a Peruvian factory with more than 30 years of experience, has been renamed Pimalinda. Gabriela Mavros of Kera Group LLC, the brand’s U.S. distributor, said the change helps communicate the fact that the brand (previously named after an Andean fruit) makes its apparel out of luxurious 100-percent Pima cotton, which originated in Peru. Mavros also noted Pimalinda also resonates with American buyers who recognize “linda” as the Spanish word meaning “beautiful,” “exquisite” or “fine.”

Designed by Rosario Puga Capelli and Norma Puga Capelli, who design for various European and American private labels, the brand offers sizes 0 to 24 months boys and girls as well as girls’ 2T to 10 years. Highlights from the fall collection include knit dresses in graphic patterns as well as complementary turtlenecks and leggings for layering.

Wholesale prices range from $9 to 36. Call (210) 827-9600 or visit www.pimalinda.com.
