Jada Toys takes on Small Potatoes

Little Airplane Productions announced last week that it is partnering with Jada Toys as the global master toy partner for the pre-school television show Small Potatoes on Disney Junior. (The deal excludes China and South Korea.) Jada will produce such toys as plushes, play sets, figures, inflatable toys and musical instruments. The toy-makers join Small Potatoes’ other licensees Penguin Young Readers, Universal Studios Home Entertainment and CEACO Gamewright. Books under the Penguin Young Readers Group first hit shelves in April and Universal will release a DVD of Meet the Small Potatoes, which premiered on Disney Junior, this summer. These licensors are meant to extend the licensing reach for the Small Potatoes property. “We are delighted that Jada Toys has come on board as our new master global toy partner for the Small Potatoes,” says Josh Selig, president of Little Airplane. “The brand continues to evolve in the broadcast, digital space and theatrical space and Jada’s activity will really complement our ongoing licensing strategy and further cement the Small Potatoes’ position in the market place.”
