Last week, Northshire Bookstore, an independent retailer in Manchester, Vt., launched a 250-square-foot Zutano boutique within its children’s book department. Modeled after the Zutano flagship in the company’s hometown of Montpelier, Vt., the mini boutique features white-washed shelving stocked with a full array of the brand’s trademark brightly patterned newborn and toddler apparel. A sculptural display made of red baby chairs that also act as clothes hangers is the focal point, with a chandelier made out of baby milk bottles hanging above.
“We are putting more and more effort into making our children’s section world class,” added Chris Morrow, owner of the Northshire Bookstore. “This is a great opportunity for both partners, as Zutano represents an internationally respected brand with deep roots in Vermont and the store will be an amazing complement to our [kids’] product offerings.” Zutano president Michael Belenky noted Northshire Bookstore shares many of his brand’s business philosophies as well as a dedication to the Vermont community. “Being able to join forces and work together with such an anchor in the Manchester community is very special,” he noted.
The Northshire Bookstore, located at 4869 Main Street, Manchester Center, reportedly serves more than 200,000 customers a year and strongly emphasizes customer service. For more on Zutano, visit www.zutano.com.
