Zinkia Entertainment joined forces with the Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN) for an educational “Ready to Learn” partnership, which will bring Zinkia’s global preschool character Pocoyo to a series of tablet, smartphone and cloud-based programs to help preschools develop English literary skills.

This partnership is in keeping with the U.S. Department of Education’s “Ready to Learn” program and will address children who have been traditionally underserved. “We will lead the way in delivering all of the educational benefits that innovations like touch-screen devices and interactive learning bring to an audience of children that has unique linguistic strengths and needs,” said HITN President and CEO Jose Luis Rodriguez. “Pocoyo is a perfect fit for our [English Language Learners] initiative, with tremendous recognition in the Latino community and an ever-expanding fan base among preschoolers.”
