What charms girls across America? Accessories manufacturer High IntenCity of Fair Lawn, N.J., went straight to the source to find out, challenging girls coast to coast and to design their own charm for its Charm It! jewelry series. The company has named 36 winners, whose designs—ranging from a talking taco to symbols of world peace—will be added to the 2010 collection in celebration of the Charm It! line’s 10th anniversary.
“Ten years ago, Charm It! was launched with a vision to inspire girls to express their individuality through creativity,” High IntenCity president Renee Levy noted. “A decade later, the contest brings the mission full circle by producing charms created by girls.” Their styles will be unveiled at the New York International Toy Fair in February.
In addition to receiving a bag full of Charm It! pieces as their prize, the winning designers are selecting their favorite charitable causes—which help animals, the environment, and hungry, sick and homeless children—to receive 10 percent of all sales proceeds from the line.
The “What Charms You” collection will be available at specialty boutiques nationwide and on www.shophighintencity.com in April 2010. For more info, call High IntenCity at (201) 703-5010
