“It’s a different approach to kids’ wear—not all blues and pinks,” says Captain Monkey Boys’ founder and designer Esther Marie. Launched in 2008 and spearheaded by Esther’s inspiration for creating diverse and innovative products, Captain Monkey Boys grew rapidly. The hip boys’ collection goes beyond traditional color palettes and incorporates shades of sherbet, blacks and grays. The Fall 2011 collection takes cues from military-inspired styles and includes long sleeve shirts in a variety of fabrics, as well as three new pants styles. Celebrity babies and young trendsetters alike are wearing duds by L.A.-based Captain Monkey Boys. Sizes run from 2T through 16 and wholesale prices range from $12.50 to $27.
