Dallas Market Center has experienced increases at each of its markets for a full year. “The recent market sealed a complete year of attendance increases for FashionCenterDallas,” said Cindy Morris, COO of the Dallas Market Center. “As our momentum continues, Dallas remains the smartest investment–we offer the largest selection of resources in the United States, our region remains economically sound and travel costs are the lowest in six years. Dallas just makes good business sense.”

Also during market, Dallas Market Center held the first annual THE Inspired Event, a fundraising cocktail party on the evening of Thursday, March 25, in the World Trade Center Hall of Nations. At the event, the first annual Inspiration Award was presented to Melissa Plaskoff, creator of Lemons to Aid. Lemons to Aid encourages parents to get their children involved in raising money for others by creating lemonade stands, bake sales and other creative entrepreneurial ideas. Proceeds from the event went to the American Red Cross Haiti relief efforts. In total, the Dallas Market Center’s showrooms, buyers, guests and staffers have raised more than $7,500 for the cause through donations gathered during markets, as well as THE Inspired Event.

The next Dallas Apparel & Accessories Markets are June 3-6 and Aug. 12-15, 2010. Visit www.dallasmarketcenter.com.
