The CPSC has posted that there will be a public hearing at 10 a.m. on Feb. 17 to discuss the technological feasibility of complying with the requirement that all children’s products must have under 100ppm of lead. The requirement currently goes into effect on Aug. 14, so long as it is determined to be “technologically feasible.” The public hearing will take place in the Hearing Room, 4th Floor of the Bethesda Towers Building, 4330 East West Highway, Bethesda, MD 20814. The hearing can be watched via webcast at www.cpsc.gov/webcast.
