A tight supply-and-demand situation will keep cotton prices high through 2011. The cause, according to the USDA, is cotton stock levels, which are estimated to reach record lows come July. Of the five top producers in the world, China, the U.S. and Pakistan are estimated to end the marketing year with record-low levels, while India and Brazil have slightly increased their stock levels.
