American Eagle has announced the location of its newest 77kids stores and revealed that it will extend the apparel brand to babies 0 to 18 months. The newborn collection will comprise boys’, girls’ and unisex pieces that combine fashion and function.
This initial spate of stores will open near existing American Eagle locations. The first will open in Pittsburgh at The Mall at Robinson on July 15, followed by outposts at Danbury Fair in Danbury, Conn.; the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.; Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, N.J.; the Carousel Center in Syracuse, N.Y.; and at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, N.C. A seventh store location will also be announced.
The brick-and-mortar stores will feature unique elements such as a “denim canyon” housing the brand’s extensive line of jeans; games projected onto the floor; and interactive touchscreens through which children can see their reflection in special mirrors that reflect animated characters, play digital “paper dolls” with 77kids clothing pieces, DJ music for the store, pose for photos and more.
