Leading production and licensing company 4Kids has announced that its CEO, Alfred R. Kahn, has retired after nearly 25 years of service. The company’s board of directors appointed Michael Goldstein, a director of the company since 2003, as interim chairman.

Everlast Secures DTR Deal with Sears Holdings
Everlast Worldwide and Sears Holdings have struck a long-term, direct-to-retail deal. Everlast granted Sears the exclusive U.S. rights to the brand, to be distributed in Sears and Kmart stores and online. Kids’ apparel, footwear and accessories are on the docket, as well as men’s and women’s merchandise. The brand is scheduled to launch spring 2011.
