Consumer Optimism Remains High
Consumer sentiment for the week ending May 27 remained at a five-year high, according to the Bloomberg Comfort Index. Americans are expressing continued optimism, as views about the economy matched a mid-April reading, which was the strongest since January 2008. However, the index has shown little forward momentum since hitting the five-year high in April.
