We are all familiar with the usual superheroes, from Superman to Wonder Woman, who can be found on children’s apparel and accessories. But what if kids could wear real heroes on their shirts–heroes that have actually changed the world and would inspire little ones to do the same? Kelly Clayborne and Elizabeth Rich have set out to do just that. The two women launched Wee Rascals this past March in their hometown of Austin, TX, with the hopes of creating a line that offers not only style but substance, too. The collection boasts an array of tees, tanks and bodysuits ranging in size from 3-6 months to 12 years, all screen-printed with the faces of history-making men and women, including Susan B. Anthony, Abraham Lincoln and Joan of Arc. All styles are unisex and made in the U.S.A. and retail from $25 to $28. With plans to continue adding heroes and heroines, the founders encourage readers to send along inspiring suggestions. For more information, call (512) 799-8258. —Tara Anne Dalbow
