Chains Announce Holiday Hiring Plans

This holiday season, Kohl’s will add about 53,000 seasonal workers, an average of 40 workers per store, to handle the influx of holiday sales. The company also plans to add 6,4000 distribution center workers and 350 credit operations temps. Target is said to be adding 70,000 temporary seasonal workers, about 20 percent fewer than 2012 holiday hires, and will allow permanent staff to pick up extra holiday hours.
