More than half of U.S. consumers ages 18 and older say they are more likely to buy something in-store if they receive a coupon on their mobile device while in the vicinity of that store, according to a recent mobile commerce survey from RetailMeNot and The Omnibus Company.
The survey also revealed that 33 percent of consumers have conducted searches on a mobile device for coupons online. Meanwhile, 26 percent bought something in a physical store using a coupon found on a mobile device, and of those consumers, 90 percent had done so in the last month.
