HarperCollins is teaming up with The Collective to produce joke and picture books featuring The Annoying Orange. The first publication in the series, a joke book entitled Annoying Orange: How to Be Annoying, will be released this fall for kids 6 to 10 years old. The publisher plans on releasing five more titles in 2014, including Annoying Orange: Halloweenie in summer 2014, a second joke book, and two more holiday books centered on Valentine’s Day and Christmas. “A breakout hit among the grade school set, Annoying Orange has a huge following among young fans of the web and television shows,” says David Linker, HarperCollins’ executive editor. “We look forward to developing this new publishing program for your readers who revel in his cheeky sense of humor and irreverent sensibility.”
