The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in cooperation with Dorel Juvenile Group of Columbus, IN, has issued a voluntary recall of about 97,000 Eddie Bauer Rocking Wood Bassinets. The bottom locking mechanism can fail to lock properly if a spring is not installed, allowing the bassinet to tip to one side posing a suffocation hazard to infants who can roll to the side. The recalled product was sold at Target, Toys “R” Us and Sears stores nationwide and online from Dec. 2007 through Jan. 2011 for about $150.
