The lovable comic-strip character Ziggy and his friends have teamed up with the Foundation for Global Skin Health to help kids learn about summer skin care through an app. “Ziggy’s Best Birthday,” an interactive video children’s story, has an essential message about skin protection and the long-term health effects from sun damage. The app can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store. “As we move into the hottest months of the year and children are outside playing this summer, we are proud that the new app featuring Ziggy is available to all parents and children everywhere,” says Tom Wilson, Ziggy cartoonist and president of Ziggy & Friends. Tom Wilson Sr. created the internationally syndicated cartoon “Ziggy” in 1971 and it currently appears in more than 600 newspapers, reaching approximately 75 million readers every day.
