Australia may be known best for that other shoe brand, but we’ve found a new collection from Oz that’s on its way up. Sydney-based Old Soles—a fashion-forward infant and toddler shoe company—was launched in 2008. Vicki Lever, the designer behind Hound Dog Australia, got the idea while seeking shoes for her friend’s newborn daughter. Unable to track down stylish options, she sketched a few of her own—all inspired by runway designs.

Fashion may have inspired Old Soles, but function seals the deal. Each soft-leather style comes equipped with padded leather insoles and elastic backs for comfort, fit and flexibility. Sizes range from 0-3 months up to 24 months. This fall, look for Old Soles in patent leather and metallics for girls, and edgy joggers and street shoes for boys.
