~ BBC Worldwide has tapped Bob Traub as its new vice president of retail development for the Americas. He will work across BBC Worldwide’s brand portfolio, which includes properties such as BBC Earth, Doctor Who, Top Gear and In the Night Garden. Traub joins the company with 16 years of experience in entertainment licensing. He previously led global retail plans for companies including Chorion, Nickelodeon and Marvel Entertainment Group.
~ CBS Consumer Products has promoted P.J. Pierce to vice president of licensing and Maryann Martin to vice president of operations. Pierce will head up the soft goods category, developing strategic branded licensing partnerships in apparel, accessories and related categories for CBS’s entire portfolio, which includes current TV shows America’s Next Top Model, 90210 and the CSI franchise plus classics like Star Trek, The Brady Bunch and Twilight Zone. Martin will continue to run the operations area as well as contribute to the product development of video games, publishing and live shows.
