New York-based retailer FAO Schwarz recently announced the resignation of CEO Edward Schmults and the decision to appoint Barry Erdos, ex-president and COO of Bluefly, to the position. Schmults had served as head of the company since September 2005, and reportedly left to pursue other interests. In addition to Bluefly, an online retailer focusing on designer brands and fashion trends, Erdos has also worked for Build-A-Bear Workshop and AnnTaylor Stores Corp. Visit www.fao.com.
