MGA Entertainment Files Emergency Motion to Continue Bratz Production

MGA Entertainment filed an emergency motion last Tuesday requesting a stay pending appeal from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Through this motion, MGA requests the authority to continue making and selling Bratz dolls until the appellate court decides its case. It argues that an emergency stay is warranted because of the risk of irreparable harm to MGA and because of multiple legal errors committed by the District Court.

U.S. District Judge Stephen Larson ordered the end of the temporary receivership of MGA Entertainment last week along with the company’s right to manufacture and market Bratz products.
