Nintendo Developing New Pokemon Games

Nintendo plans on releasing new video games "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y" in October on its Nintendo 3DS system. The games will be the basis for a new consumer products program, which will include trading cards and a toy line. "We brought Pokemon into an entirely new dimension, and we're incredibly excited to bring Pokemon X' and "Pokemon Y' to fans. The stunning visuals, a completely redesigned environment, game scenario, music and communication features will bring smiles to the faces of video game players around the world," says Junichi Masuda, video game director at Game Freak.

The Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony will have their own mobile games for smartphones and iOS and Android tablets at the end of this year. Mark Blecher, SVP of digital media and marketing at Hasbro, calls the French app developer a key player in their efforts to reach a global audience.
