Teen apparel chain Anchor Blue is closing all 117 stores nationwide after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year. Closing sales began on Jan. 7. Discounts of 40- to 60-percent are being offered to clear inventory.
The chain dates back to 1972 when it began as Miller's Outpost. In the 1990s, the company changed its name to Anchor Blue, offering its own denim line for teens and young adults.
