Before this month’s ABC Kids Expo even kicked off, show organizers began offering discounts on booths for the 2011 edition, which will mark the show’s move to Louisville, Ky.
The show is already one of the lowest-cost trade shows in North America, according to the (now defunct) publication Trade Show Week, but All Baby & Child’s board of directors has decided to use the money they are saving on the facility rental in Louisville and pass it on to manufacturers who sign on to exhibit early. ABC also noted in a press release that participating companies will see further cost savings, in part due to lower rates for material handling at its new, non-union venue.
The “early bird” discount for 2011 is $1 per square foot, which will be compounded by another $1 per square foot “Lock Down Louisville” discount. Qualifying vendors must register by Oct. 30, 2010, and submit payment on time. (A deposit is due by Jan. 10; final payment must be received by May 30.) JPMA members who have paid their 2011 membership dues by May 30, 2011, will be eligible for further discounts.
